The SITA Board on an annual basis meets with the Minister for Public Service and Administration to discuss strategic initiatives to support the Minister on the Performance Agreement of the Department with the President, as well as required deliverables within the larger Government Plan of Action (PoA).

The set of strategic initiatives was formalised in Minister of Public Service Administration (MPSA) Two-Year Strategic Focus announced in February 2012, which also forms the backbone of the annual Balance Score agreed and signed between the SITA Board and the SITA Executive and the Annual Performance Plan (APP) committed to by SITA in Parliament.
